Students from Wombourne Quilters group enjoyed making wool paintings with Textile Artist Raya Brown

Wombourne Quilters really enjoyed learning a new technique called wool painting.

They had a lovely time with Raya Brown , Artist and Felt maker, who taught them this unique technique of making fibre pictures. The ladies used their imaginative ideas and explored fibres with great enthusiasm. They even discovered a new technique of making clouds from wool!

Their work is vibrant and very individual. One of the ladies decided to create a winter scene which was a success. The poppy fields scenes are all made with passion and great attention to detail is given.
