I am so so happy. My first Fundamental Arts Skills course was launched last Thursday! What a fantastic group of enthusiastic students I have! I really enjoyed teaching them last  week and we had such fun learning and exploring different mark making and various lines! The students also learnt a lot about different Art Materials! I am very much looking forward to seeing my students again next week.

Thank you very much to Tracey and Teresa for your comments. There is  a comment from Teresa : ‘Thank you for an enjoyable first art class and welcoming us so warmly into your home. I thought your teaching was excellent and pitched perfectly. You gave us confidence to “have a go”. A lovely atmosphere with a lovely group of people.

I look forward to seeing you next week. ‘

Teresa

Thank you!

This is what my student Tracey Lott has written about the first class.

First lesson today! So excited! Started Fundamental Art Skills Course with Raya…….who knew there was so much to know about art equipment!? Who knew you could make so many different marks with a pencil showing movement, anger, passion, sensitivity, form, tone, etc? I will never call a pencil “just a pencil” again!
This is the information everyone should be taught when beginning an art course …..so why have I never been shown?
My favourite part of the lesson was releasing my “inner child” to enjoy and be free on paper!
Bring on lesson TWO, but in the meantime for just a few minutes every day I will make lines………😀
