Making a Big Felt Banner with Textile Artist  Raya Brown

We had good fun working with children and members of staff at Kidderminster Carpet Museum during half term. We were working on a big felted banner which will be displayed in Kidderminster Town center. The banner is based on carpet designs which were used by Woodward Grosvenor carpet factory in 1950s. We used an Indian Elephant motif and created some patterns to decorate this banner. We were also inspired by the lovely autumn colours which we are seeing this season. The banner will be finished soon. ( It is still drying) I would like to say a special “Thank you” to Gill and Sarah who helped us so much !
