My students from the online Portrait course recently studied Pop Art, and were particularly interested in the art of Roy Lichtenstein. These are their ‘Pop Art’ portraits inspired by R. Lichtenstein’s art style. They also reproduced some of his portraits. The portraits are distinguished by bold colours , limited colour palette, simplified shapes and very few details. Upper Intermediate online Portrait course is going really well. These are the earlier drawings that my students did when we were studying emotions. It was a fun subject, and we looked at how facial expressions changed depending on emotions. We also learnt about expressive gestures. Online Upper intermediate Portrait course is starting tomorrow. It will run every Wednesday for 10 weeks. We will resume studying the art of portraiture and explore the art of French Impressionists, Pop Artists and G. Klimt.
