During our Introduction to Soft Pastels course, my learners and I created some vibrant sunset scenes.
We experimented with various types of pastel paper and quickly realized how crucial the right surface was for achieving the desired effect in artwork.
The process of blending colours and creating soft transitions was incredibly rewarding, while the use of contrasting tones brought out the radiant glow of the light in each piece. Here are the results of our exploration.
